The Church of St Peter and St Paul, like most churches, evolved over many centuries. The oldest part is the font, which is associated with the Baptism of St Rumbold in 662AD. This church is famous for it’s 198ft spire built 1400 to 1450. Now illuminated at night, it remains a prominent landmark which can be seen for many miles around.
