In common with  many communities, ale houses and eating places have come and gone.
The current survivors are:
The White Horse &
The Butchers Arms

In recent times there were in fact four pubs serving the village. “The Bell” in the village square is now a private residence, and the Three Tuns in Whitall Street is now a business, leaving just two. Both currently serve food and offer a variety of beers: The Butchers Arms serving Hook Norton Ales, The White Horse is Brakspears. Both pubs are centrally sited within 150 yards of each other!!
There used to be another  pub called the “Red Lion” in, appropriately, Red Lion Street which leads down from the Church towards the Post Office. This closed many years ago and is now a private residence.
